The connection between a doula and client is incredibly powerful, it is vital that you fully trust and feel completely comfortable with us; the chemistry is everything! We want you to feel confident that your choices will be respected, and feel as relaxed and as valued with us, as you would with your best friend. But with the added bonus of all the insight we have gained from our years of working in healthcare:

  • We have supported many parents with their transition to parenthood, and have a deep appreciation of how special and life changing this period is.

  • We know that every family is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

  • We feel at ease in hospitals, and communicate confidently with clinical staff in any setting based on respect and understanding.

  • We can highlight the best available evidence based research when requested, and do so without bias and remain judgement free.

  • We know how powerful a mother’s instinct is, and believe in supporting parents to trust their own instincts and have confidence in themselves.

About us...

Hi! I'm Vikki...

I trained as a paediatric nurse in Edinburgh, and went on to complete my MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice whilst working at Edinburgh’s Royal Hospital for Children and Young People. Following a move to London, I continued my postgraduate learning at King’s College London, alongside my clinical role at the Evelina Children’s Hospital. My specialist training has been focussed on Paediatric Intensive Care and Research, reflecting the parallel progression of my career in these two areas, culminating in my role as Research Sister for Paediatric Intensive Care. I grew up in Cheltenham, and after starting our family we moved back here, where we have the great fortune of having our family and friends close by. Becoming a mother has changed my perspective and approach to work, and I knew that I was ready to step away from clinical work and find a new way in which to care for people. My own experiences of pregnancy and early parenthood opened my eyes to the benefits of hypnobirthing and postpartum care, and I want to share these with others so that they can have the best experience possible of these precious moments. I trained with Nurturing Birth as a doula, which has prepared me for birth and postnatal doula work, and I have completed my certification as a Hypnobirthing Instructor with The Calm Birth School.

Hello, I'm Georgie...

My experience of becoming a parent and witnessing friends and family do the same has shown me just how valuable personalised support and care can be throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. Supporting friends and family with their journey to parenthood has always brought me so much joy, and when I realised my day job could be doing something that feels so natural, I couldn't wait to get started.

Prior to my doula training I was an NHS Occupational Therapist working in hospital and community settings. During this time, I supported many people through life changing events, helping them to adapt to new circumstances. This experience has left me with a deep-rooted understanding of the importance of an individualised and holistic approach to caring for people.

As your doula, I want to know what matters most to you throughout your pregnancy, birth and postnatal period and work with you to make sure your needs are met compassionately and without judgement. I want you to feel supported, empowered and listened to. I will believe in you, and it will be a priority for me to support you to nurture your own self-belief that will leave you best placed to take on the incredible experience that comes with becoming a parent. Believe me, your self-trust will be your superpower!
